In 2020, BLFA provided all our partners monies for personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks and surgical gowns. When the supply chain to Malawi was limited by border shutdowns, our partner got creative and used the funding to engage local volunteers to sew masks for the community. BLFA also worked with Direct Relief to advocate for additional funding for PPE and ongoing COVID-related needs.
